2021-08-14 16:00 – 2021-08-15 10:00
Let’s cruise to one of our favorite waterfront eateries, Pineda Inn Grill and Bar, in south Rockledge, for cocktails and dinner. Dinghy to the shore at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 14, for Meet-and-Greet drinks at the bar, followed by dinner at 5 p.m. For those making a night of it, we will have a potluck breakfast for the boaters on Sunday morning, August 15, at 8 a.m. at Rotary Park, just to the north of the restaurant. Dock space is available for boats with shallow draft. Depth is reported to be about 3 feet. It's a nice area for anchoring out also, and dinghys can easily tie up at the dock. From the ICW near red Marker 94, turn west, and you're there. The end of the T-dock is located at 28°13.70'N 80°40.28'W. Or, for the landlubbers, 6533 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955. You can come by boat and either anchor out or take a slip at the Cocoa Village Marina or the new floating T-docks at Riverfront park. On July 4th itself we will be having a Bring-Your-Own dinner, along with Bring-Your-Own plates, glasses, utensils, etc.  Dinner will be at the Cocoa Village Marina clubhouse with hot coals on the grill for you to enjoy your favorite deceased animal (within reason). As the sun sets we can set up our chairs and watch the fireworks over the Indian River.   Saturday 3rd: Arrival.             If you come by boat you can reserve a slip at the Cocoa Village Marina (CVM) (321-632-5445) or try for the new floating community docks of Cocoa Riverfront Park (28o21.289’N 080o 43.312’W). From there it's an easy stroll into the Village. Upscale dining at Café Margaux, Pizza at Ryans (with a great view of the river) or German Food at the Bier Garten and Thai food opposite. Fancy buying a cannon for your boat? We have a pirate's shop in the village that can help you. Alternatively, you can anchor out close to Riverfront park and use the public Dinghy docks down from the boat ramps, or go under the 520 bridge and anchor starboard of the CVM channel.   Sunday 4th             We will have a BYO dinner at CVM clubhouse (90 Delannoy Avenue, Cocoa 32922). If you drive, there’s parking in the large lot in front of the clubhouse). Coals and the grill will be provided. Bring your own favorite foodstuffs and beverages along with plates, cups and utensils. We anticipate eating in the clubhouse at 5:00 p.m. The Brevard Symphony Orchestra will start their “Symphony Under the Stars” in the riverfront park at 8:00 p.m. and the fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m. For those that don’t fancy the crowds in Riverfront park we can take chairs out to the Dock to watch the show.   Monday 5th.             One last chance to wander through Cocoa Village for that last meal and then back to the water for the voyage home.

Marker 21 Cruise - Saturday-Sunday, February 27-28, 2021
2021-02-27 21:00 – 2021-02-28 12:00
Hosts: Steve Lambert & Chiz Ishihara Note: Due to inclement weather the past two weekends, the ECSA Board decided to reschedule this cruise to the weekend of February 27-28. Where: N 27° 59' 27.13" W 80° 32' 37.79" Just west of Marker 21 on the ICW in Malabar. Adjacent to the spoil Island.    Despite the delays, we're sticking with the original Valentine's theme... Are you dreading Valentine’s Day in the time of the Pandemic? Worried that you won’t get a table at your favorite romantic restaurant, as it’s now more romantic with only 3 socially distanced tables and a waiter in a Hazmat suit? Concerned that the guy at the next table with the roses who has been sneezing constantly for the last 10 minutes may have more than an allergy and wondering what that goodnight kiss will feel like through 4 layers of cloth and a HEPA filter? Well, forget those dreads and join Steve and Chiz for a weekend on the water heading down to Marker 21 in Malabar. Enjoy a romantic meal on the water (or beer and a couple of Publix Subs) under the stars with the waves lapping gently (hopefully) on your bow and no masked waiters. We will not be doing the normal beach grill (not even sure if there is still a beach) but hopefully we can romantically yell at each other from our boats or dinghies, and after a few drinks perhaps some romantic or colorful songs over the VHF. Either way it will just be nice to be out on the water and away from it all. See you all there, Steve and Chiz. And a note from our Directory Chairperson, John Boyd : "I will bring the 2021 club directories with me, so sail down and get yours!  If that's not a good enough incentive to join this cruise, I don't know what is..."

Cocoa Village Boat Parade
2020-12-12 21:00 – 2020-12-13 23:00
The Cocoa Village Holiday Boat Parade is this coming Saturday, December 12, 6:00-7:30 pm.  Click here for the route map.  The parade starts about 1.5 miles south of Cocoa Village near Orange Avenue in Rockledge and heads north.  This is an unusual cruise since we aren't meeting for dinner anywhere, just sailing to a location and anchoring to watch.  Hosts Winnie and Ralph Crawford to anchor Oriyo between the start and south of Cocoa Village at coordinates 28.3455° N (28° 20.73') and 80.7202° W (80° 43.22') -- see blue dot on the map. However, you can anchor anywhere along the route you desire.  Grover reports that the T-dock at Lee Wenner Park will be used for judges, so no boats will be allowed there.  The hosts also suspect that the floating docks will be full.  The organizers say there is about 5-feet of water in that area.  There are also many boats anchored in the basin.  There is plenty of depth south of Cocoa Village.  If you have any questions, please contact Winnie Crawford at winnie.crawford@outlook.com
